Project
Website design and layout for Arcological.
Overview
I was contracted to create a design and layout for Arcological’s website. The client provided content for each section along with the project’s existing logo but left the design entirely up to me. Building off the inspiration for their name and logo, I created a clean long-scroll layout and used a mix of geometric and organic background shapes to add texture and interest to the page.

Develope a new style for the GNOME project release videos.
Project
As Creative Director and project manager for the redesigned GNOME Release video project, I collaborated with the design company FreeHive to produce fresh, modern, and engaging video content. The goal of this redesign was to create shorter, teaser-style videos that generate excitement and anticipation for each new software release. These videos are designed to highlight the most compelling features while leaving in-depth details to longer formats, like the release notes, ensuring the content remains dynamic and accessible to a wider audience.

Branding and asset development for Linux App Summit (LAS), an annual conference co-hosted by GNOME and KDE focused on supporting and growing the Linux application ecosystem.
Overview
As the lead designer for the LAS, I developed a brand concept that leaned into the spirit of collaboration and innovation the conference hoped to create within the Linux and open-source application community. For the conference brand, I built a diverse and versatile color palette, and a series of patterns to be used as building blocks for each design. These assets allow us to rework the look each year for a fresh design that still feels cohesive with past conference designs.
Project
Conference design and asset creation for GUADEC, the GNOME community’s largest annual conference.
Overview
As Brand Manager for the GNOME Foundation, I am responsible for building the conference materials for our largest conference each year. The conference brand utilizes the GNOME brand style, but themes each year’s design to the host city. In 2022 the conference took place in Guadalajara, Mexico so as the starting piece for this work I developed a skyline that could showcase some of the main attractions of the city. This skyline was adapted into all conference assets including the website, social graphics, name badges, banners, t-shirts, and more.

A multipage digital annual report created for Open Source Initiative be shared with the board and community members.
Project
Design a new annual report for the 2021 fiscal year for digital use. Open Source Initiative (OSI) did not have a pre-existing report or brand style. For this report, I reworked some of the typography and graphic motifs they had implemented on an older one-sheet to help bring some consistency to their overall brand while adding a few more colors for visual interest and to help with the graph and chart design.

Overview
A multipage annual report created for GNOME Foundation to be shared with foundation and advisory board members.
Project
Design the annual report for the 2018 fiscal year. This report has existed in various styles and formats for many years, but was lacking cohesion and visual interest. When I was asked to help with the design and layout of this piece I chose to go for an entire restructure and redesign to help elevate the look of the report, create more structure in the content order, and allow for more graphic treatments to be introduced. Pulling from a triangular motif used in other GNOME work, I created additional geometric patterns and tied them to colors that would separate the content themes through out the report. These also allowed for additional photos to be included—featuring more of the GNOME community.

A multipage brochure created for Chaminade University in Honolulu, Hawaii that will be mailed out to newly admitted students.
Project
Design a booklet that would showcase the university and let newly admitted students know why Chaminade is a good fit for them. I was tasked with adapting and elevating an existing style and my goal was to make this piece feel like it belonged in with Chaminade brand, but still conveyed an excitement and energy that would speak to new undergraduate students.

A folding business card created for UC Davis Undergraduate Admissions recruiters to hand out at newly admitted student receptions.
Project
Design an easily transportable piece that is engaging, visually interesting, and informational. My solution to this was a folding business card that could contain important community and contact information on one side, while including an interactive list of college traditions on the other. Formatted like a poster, our intent was to give this piece a life after the reception.

Overview
Sacramento RiverTrain and Sierra DinnerTrain are two of Sierra Railroads tourism trains. They’re both located in Northern California and each feature similar on-board experiences.
Project
Both trains underwent massive renovation projects in 2016 and their branding needed style updates to support the new looks. As an in-house designer at Sierra Railroad, I developed an updated look and created a suite of collateral (brochures, rack cards, boarding passes, merchandise, advertisements, billboards, etc.) to showcase the trains and their experiences. I was also responsible for designing the exterior paint scheme for both trains. I developed over 100 paint schemes and mock ups to present to stakeholders. One was chosen to use on both lines, updating the passenger experience while referencing the historic nature of the trains.

The Beer Train is a beer tasting experience aboard two tourism trains in Northern California.
Project
Create a unique identity with an individual voice that can be utilized to promote the Beer Train to beer fans all over Northern California—specifically at local craft beer events. We wanted to connect to the craft beer scene as well as reference the inherently rustic nature of our tourism trains. I developed the branding and identity as well as various collateral while working as an in-house designer at Sierra Railroad.

Overview
Simply You was created as a BFA project at Eastern Washington University. It is made up of a series of 16 cards and a web app and is intended to promote personal growth and insight.
Project
This project uses personality theories from Myer-Briggs and Keirsey but presents the information in a more user-friendly, interactive way, focusing more on the character of the personality type and providing a smaller sample of information to pique the viewers interest in the topic.
For this project I developed 16 icons to represent each personality type, combined photographic imagery for each card, and wrote the content for each card based on research from multiple sources. I also designed and coded an accompanying web app.
